Local items are artifacts that were made and distributed with the intent of appealing to a local audience from the outset. Generally these types of artifacts make little attempt to appeal to individuals outside of the intended local audience, by remaining in only the original language or containing references or packaging that only appeal to the specifically targeted audience.
